COSEQUIN ® Cats comes in capsules containing palatable powder. To facilitate the intake by the animal, COSEQUIN ® Cats capsules can be opened and their content mixed into the food of the animal. If the animal eats dry food, it should be slightly moistened with water to make the powder stick. You can also mix the content of the capsules with a small amount of wet food to ensure that the animal eats it.
Palatability is a key factor for the correct administration of the dosage prescribed by the veterinarian. In a study performed in one of the major European centers of palatability tests more than 70% of cats took COSEQUIN CATS in less than 10 seconds. Both its way of administration and flavor were qualified excellent by the owners.
Initial Period:
Capsules are recommended to be administered during 4 to 6 weeks in A SINGLE DAILY DOSE, according to the following dosage:
0 - 5 kg: 1 capsule daily.
> 5 kg: 2 capsules daily.
Maintenance period:
Once the desired response has been obtained, in order to maintain it for long periods of time the initial dose of capsules may be reduced by half or administered on alternate days. The number of capsules administered may be increased at any time depending on the needs of the cat or the veterinarian's recommendation.
