It is therefore absurd to bear the pain if it can be reduced.
Moderate exercise, like walking on a flat ground or biking is good for knee and hip osteoarthritis. Doing exercises with the hands is beneficial for osteoarthritis in fingers.
You must not do exercise that results in pain. Exercise should be avoided during periods of intense pain when it is better to rest for a few days. 
When knee or hip osteoarthritis impedes the movement, and the pain is intense and can not be relieved with drugs, surgery should be considered. The age and the overall health status of the patient must be taken into account before making a decision. |
