Effects of Hyal-JointTM on Synovial Fluid
|
1 - Sodium hyaluronate is endogenously synthesized by synoviocytes.
When synoviocites are stimulated with Hyal-JointTM there is an
increase of endogenous HA:
These results indicate that Hyal-JointTM has an effect in stimulating
the production of HA in synovial fluid, thus improving joint integrity.
2 - Hyal-JointTM has been studied in fibroblasts, cells the same type as synoviocytes:
It significantly lowered PGE2 levels and showed a tendency to lower
MMP-1 levels, thus indicating that Hyal-JointTM exerts an antiinflammatory
effect. This is very relevant given that the inflammation of the synovial membrane is specially painful.
Effect of Hyal-JointTM on PGE2 levels (pg/mg of total protein) induced by IL-1ß in human dermal fibroblasts.
