  Bioiberica targets American specialist doctors

The starting point of this communication campaign aimed at American rheumatologists, traumatologists and orthopaedic surgeons was the Symposium on Chondroitin Sulfate organized by Bioiberica at the ACR Congress in November 2005.

The objective of the campaign is to provide relevant information and new clinical data regarding chondroitin Sulfate, including its mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, the latest clinical-trial results and data on the substance's structure/disease-modifying effect.

Action taken thus far includes the publication of the contents of the symposium in the journal Orthopedics Today, sending a monograph on Bioiberica's chondroitin Sulfate (CS Bio-Active) to rheumatologists, and a series of informative articles and ads in medical journals.

Opinion-leading specialist doctors have collaborated by publishing articles in medical journals and the general press.

Moreover, Bioiberica is working on an informative and educational website that is aimed at doctors and consumers and supported by a collaboration project with WebMD-Medscape.

This campaign is carried out in cooperation with Nutramax Labs, Inc., Bioiberica's partner in the US.

The Nutraceuticals Market in Europe and Joint Health Products.

The European nutraceutical market is on the rise. Unlike the American nutraceutical market, where nutritional supplements are the main product, in Europe functional foods are gaining a stronger hold on the market.

This may be due to stricter legislation in Europe, the traditional pressure of pharmaceutical companies or simply because of cultural reasons, but functional foods are better accepted at the consumer level.

The fact is that in Europe the functional-foods market is growing faster than the nutritional-supplement market. And the joint-health area is particularly attractive for these companies.

More and more companies in the food industry (dairy products, biscuits, juices, soups, etc.) are considering launching functional-food products for joint health.

Last Vitafoods exhibition clearly showed this market trend. Lots of companies in the functional food market visited Bioiberica's stand showing their interest in joint health products.

Customer-Satisfaction Survey

Always concerned about improving the service it provides customers and distributors, Bioiberica periodically carries out customer-satisfaction surveys.

This survey mainly gauges the level of customer satisfaction with the service received from the initial contact with the Sales Department until an order is placed and served.

In the latest survey, the aspects most highly valued by Bioiberica customers were the professional skills of the staff, product quality and technical support. The main things customers were not satisfied with were related to time (delivery time and time for getting an answer to their complaints).

Everyone at Bioiberica, especially the Customer Service Department, works every day to offer a service that fully satisfies our customers' needs.
