Heparin is a glycosaminoglycan consisting of an alternating sequence ofD-glucosamine bound by a (1-4) link to a hexuronic acid. It is a very unique molecule because of its complexity and heterogeneous composition.
This is why Bioiberica has developed the Bioprint Analytical Platform to define and characterise heparin more comprehensively than standard specifications in order to have a better control on the process, more homogeneity ofthe product and also the ability to better match our clients’ specifications.
Bioiberica bets on the potential of the heparin molecule andhas put together a team of research scientists to work in two main directions: development lab and investigation of new applications.
Heparin is a highly sulfated glycosaminoglycan, a natural substance composed of several molecules with properties that inhibit blood clotting. In this section you will find all the information related to this centenary molecule.
