About the Role:

The Chemical Development Technician will provide operational and technical support in the laboratory, performing specific tasks under the supervision of more experienced staff. You will also contribute to the development of projects and the efficient and safe operation of the laboratory.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the laboratory equipment (apparatus, reagents, glassware, etc.) necessary for conducting laboratory and pilot-scale trials, under the supervision of the project leader and/or the Head of Heparin and New Product Development.
  • Perform and record established or standardised chemical tests, both in the laboratory and in the pilot plant, minimising response times and ensuring the quality of the data generated, under direct supervision.
  • Prepare the technical documentation required for the development of the experimental work, such as test templates, manufacturing spreadsheets and other operational formats, in coordination with the responsible team.
  • Plan, organise and execute logistical tasks that ensure the daily operation of the laboratory, including: purchasing reagents, equipment and materials; managing delivery notes and invoices; maintaining, calibrating and verifying equipment; sending and receiving samples; cleaning and organising glassware, reagents and workspaces; managing waste; and supporting the R&D pilot plant.
  • Draft and maintain documentation related to logistical and organisational functions, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment and laboratory operating protocols.
  • Collaborate and provide technical support to other departments, such as Fast Track, in the development of strategic company projects.

  • Work experience or vocational training in Chemistry
  • Strong communication skills
