About the Role
  • Take responsibility for managing the Industrial Manufacturing Control and Instrumentation System, both hardware and software, to ensure proper operation in accordance with corporate safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Lead the implementation of the industrial manufacturing control system and take responsibility for its updating and supervision.
  • Motivate, drive and support change management in new programmes and practices, organisational behaviour, as well as technical solutions related to the processes under your responsibility.
  • Be responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of your processes to strengthen the organisation's integrated management system for safety, quality, environment and sustainability.
  • Take responsibility for the department and manage the process of establishing the main directions and priorities in order to meet tight production deadlines and maintain plant availability, ensuring high levels of safety and quality as required.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that engineering and maintenance activities are carried out in a timely manner and within budget, take an active role in obtaining supply contracts and, therefore, in controlling the budget.
  • Ensure that the organisation is at the forefront of new technologies in operational management. Ensure that Bioibérica's control and instrumentation facilities are state of the art.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all current safety, quality and environmental standards are applied in all activities carried out and ensure that other Bioibérica colleagues, internal and external suppliers involved in these activities also comply with them.
  • Manage the design, configuration and programming of the automated control system using SCADA Aveva System Platform or Intouch and Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
  • Develop and implement control strategies to ensure the efficiency and safety of processes in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Manage the integration of SCADA and PLC systems to enable effective communication and precise control of the equipment and processes involved in production.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of automation systems, ensuring their correct operation and compliance with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure that technical documentation is up to date, including control diagrams, user manuals, and validation procedures.
  • Comply with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and system validation requirements (GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Provide technical support and training to end users of automation systems.
  • Keep your knowledge up to date, both technically and legally, on issues related to GMPs, the environment, quality, occupational risk prevention, and industrial safety.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in your workplace and in all areas where you carry out your activities.
About You
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of the pharmaceutical and chemical business, manufacturing and quality processes (GxP compliance, validation and quality systems management, GMP Annex 11, 21CFR Part 11).
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field, or CFGM/CFGS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Desirable: Aveva System Platform, Intouch Wonderware
