The Annual European Congress of Rheumatology, EULAR 2009 , was held in June in Copenhagen. This Congress aims to provide a forum of the highest standard for scientific, educational and social exchange between professionals involved in rheumatology.

Bioiberica participated by organizing the symposium “Targeting Synovitis for the Treatment of Osteoarthritis” with the involvement of researchers and clinical rheumatologists. The findings were presented from the latest studies linking synovitis with the progression of osteoarthritis and the efficacy of chondroitin.

The 2009 OARSI World Congress on Osteoarthritis was held in September in Montreal. The OARSI is an international organization that works for the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis, and is active in the dissemination of new scientific findings and knowledge at the world level.

On this occasion, Bioiberica sponsored the symposium “Synovitis: A Potential Predictor of Osteoarthritis Progression”. Besides the symposium, Bioiberica also sponsored the presentation of posters with the results of new efficacy studies with Hyal-Joint and Tendoactive.

Finally, within the framework of the Annual Scientific Meeting of the ACR in Philadelphia in October, Bioiberica organized an educational program for rheumatologists, “Synovitis: A Growing Focus in Osteoarthritis Management”, where the latest findings on chondroitin treatments were presented, along with new techniques for diagnosing osteoarthritis.
