Dream Runners is a group of runners formed by the IPI-COOPERACIÒ foundation, a NON Government Organization (NGO) that works in several African countries, putting the focus on healthcare and children education

Dream Runners held a meeting this past Saturday, February 7, at the Melià Sarria Hotel at Barcelona, which coincided with the Barcelona Half Marathon. There were a number of talks, ranging from preparation and awareness of the main aspects of sportsperson’s healthcare, to motivation to undertake a sports competition.

Dream Runners had the collaboration of outstanding practitioners of high performance sports like Àngels Bigas, physician specializing in sports medicine.

Attendants had also the opportunity to improve their knowledge on joint healthcare and joint injury prevention thanks to Siempre en Play. Their products for joint healthcare put the focus on the prevention of arthropathy and tendinopathy, key factors for accelerating recovery after demanding sporting activities.

Everyone who registers for the Barcelona Half Marathon through Dream Runners will run for a specific cause: a maternal and child healthcare project in Ethiopia. Dream Runners had available 50 identification numbers, both for the Half Marathon and for the Barcelona Marathon.
