Runners and the merely curious can both find out the real age of their joints at booth 66 of Expodepor

On 24 April, Madrid will host its most important running event, which includes three competitions: the Madrid marathon, half marathon and a 10K race. On the occasion of this competition, exhibition area 12 of IFEMA will welcome the Expodepor Sports fair, to be held on 22 and 23 April.

All visitors wishing to calculate the age of their joints may do so before the start of the competition at Bioiberica’s booth 66, where there will be a Joint Age Calculator developed by the R&D department of Bioiberica’s Sports Health Division.

This calculator takes into account risk factors for joint wear and tear of each person: age, gender, Body Mass Index, flexibility, and the exercise habits of each person. Furthermore, for everyone wishing to learn more about the state of their joints, a sports medicine specialist will be conducting on-site knee ultrasound tests at our stand.

According to the data collected from earlier competitions, such as the Valencia and Barcelona marathons, runners have been participating in this sport for an average of 9 years, and their joint age is approximately five years older than their real age, which is on average around 40 years.

Do you want to know if your joints are above or below the average age? Would you like to know how healthy your joints are? Come by next weekend to Bioiberica’s booth 66 and you’ll find out.
