BioVibes: Marga García

Marga García, from the Procurement department, is the protagonist of a new session of our BioVibes, an initiative to get to know the Bioiberica family better with first-person portraits of employees from all our departments. Marga tells us about her day-to-day managing the purchases that keep the company running, from office supplies to coffee capsules, and why after 20 years she still smiles every day.

Marga García, Indirect Procurement Manager

"Most of us have known each other for a long time and there is a very good relationship between us. A lot of understanding, a lot of respect, a lot of teamwork".

"I manage the purchase of indirect goods and services, office supplies, cleaning materials, professional services, marketing materials, even coffee capsules," Marga explains with a smile. Her work in Procurement covers everything that allows Bioiberica's day-to-day operations to flow smoothly, from the most everyday items to the most specialized services.

20 years at Bioiberica

With two decades at the company, Marga knows Bioiberica from the inside: "I've been working at Bioiberica for 20 years. Most of us have known each other for a long time and there is a very good relationship between us. A lot of understanding, a lot of respect, a lot of teamwork." This familiarity not only facilitates her work, but also creates an environment where collaboration is natural and effective.

When we ask her about her day-to-day, Marga sums up the dynamics with a phrase that anyone in the company will recognize: "The phrase 'I need it yesterday' works like that." Despite the immediacy that her work sometimes requires, Marga maintains a positive attitude that is contagious. "I laugh almost every day," she confesses, demonstrating that enjoying work and colleagues is possible even in the most pressured moments.

Adaptation and resilience

Her career has not been without significant challenges. "I have overcome challenges and difficulties. One of the most recent was the relocation of the offices where we were previously, which coincided with the COVID pandemic. It was quite a challenge. We passed the test," she recalls. This capacity for adaptation and resilience reflects the spirit that characterizes Bioiberica's teams.

For Marga, Bioiberica's success has a clear explanation that goes beyond products and services: "The secret of Bioiberica is that it takes care of health in its entirety, people, animals, plants and never stops researching." This One Health vision is what defines the company's purpose and also motivates its employees.

Looking to the future, Marga highlights what makes each day special: "I am surrounded by people with a lot of talent and every day is a learning experience, so it is constant growth, that is very important to me."

This culture of continuous learning and professional development is what keeps teams motivated and committed after two decades, and what promises to continue driving Bioiberica in the next 50 years.
