Crop-ScanTM is the first remote detection service for the early diagnostic of plant stress in crops before the farmer can visually detect these symptoms.

This innovative technology is a product of Bioiberica’s R&D department and will be presented first in a forum by PlanStar Viña. This technical symposium will discuss techniques to boost the profitability of vineyard cultivation and will be held this coming 22nd of January at the Museum of Wine at Valdepeñas. Cándido Marín, head of Bioiberica’s R&D department, will be in charge of the presentation. He will also discuss various solutions focusing on the nutritional improvement and fast recovery of vineyard stress.

The second event to be held this month will be the 12th Symposium of Plant Healthcare, to be held at Seville from 28 to 30 January 2015. Bioiberica will participate in this address of the agriculture sector, which will be dedicated exclusively to cultivation guidelines and new technologies.

The presentation “Crop-Scan™: Importance of Early Diagnosis in Crop Healthcare” will take place on the 29th of January at 09:45 am at the Melia Lebreros Hotel in Seville. The presentation will discuss the relevance of an early diagnosis of stress in crops for a more efficient management of this stress; thus optimizing agricultural output, both in fruit trees as well as in vineyards.

Crop-Scan™ is based on aerial imaging obtained by thermal and multi-spectral cameras in manned aircraft. The images allow one to precisely analyze data such as productivity, chlorophyll contents, efficiency of photo systems and crop stress.

Bioiberica invites everyone interested to contact the Plant Physiology department to get up-to-date information on this innovative service, as well as information on the rest of our solutions for plant stress management.
